My Bio
So, I'm Nicola, I'm a Pisces, I have clinical depression with mild anxiety and OCD, and I love the Arts in all their forms. I love to draw - mainly A5 pencil works of things I've seen and admire or feel challenged enough to attempt -I like photography, and my biggest ambition is to be a writer.
I studied art at school up until my A-levels, until the grade I got knocked me for six, so I didn't draw for about 5years. In 2007, I decided to try again, mainly copying from comic books or tv/movie stills.
From about March 2011, I discovered the joy of colour and ink, and have been experimenting with Gorjuss style drawings and slowly moving towards comic-art.
Hopefully, one day, I'll be confident enough to draw some of the crap in my head, once I accept that poetic licence is acceptable and not everything has to be 100% accurate or perfect.

Thanks to everyone who looks at anything I post on here - I appreciate you taking the time to visit my page.

So, I decided to put up a few of the photos I took at Blackpool Zoo on Sunday (24th July). If I had the time or patience, I would put them all up, but I decided to just go with a few of the ones I liked best... which is rare, as I really don't have a high opinion of anything I do... however, I do quite like these photographs and I loved taking them. Sadly, I did not realise quite how intrusive the time and date stamp would be, but it's switched off now so that next time, if I go to the zoo and take some nice photos, they won't be marred by orange numbers. It was a good day out though - nice and sunny (for a change) but not too hot; not tooo

A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking of painting a canvas. Went to look at prices and instead bought a set Letraset ProMarkers... as you do =) Obviously, one set did not contain enough colours, so I bought two more... (which still isn't enough tbh). Anyway, this started off a desire to colour things in. It's not something I've done much. The majority of the work I've ever done has been in pencil, and 99% of the time, I need to shade those pictures in or they don't look right to me, so using Promarkers has been an experience, but one I'm enjoying. I started off by drawing in the Gorjuss style, changing small details to make them more pers
